Jon Stahly 

        Jon Stahly (b. 1994, Walnut Creek, CA, USA) is a contemporary interdisciplinary artist who works primarily in printmaking and photography. His work utilizes narrative and how it can be used to explore memory, culture, and history. This is done by inserting a new narrative into a physical current location or creating a theme to insert memory and imagination into an entirely new environment. He creates images that are beautiful, dark, and extravagant connecting fantasy to real memories and physical spaces.

        His work derives from personal experiences and memories from both childhood and adulthood. Growing up in the Bay Area of California, living in the Southern U.S. and traveling all over the world while serving in the Marine Corps has greatly influenced his art and direction. Stahly is currently studying art, art history, and business at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has been accepted to and participated in a number of shows across Texas.
